Edward E. Rockman, Of Counsel

Edward E. Rockman, Of Counsel, has been practicing law in the Bay Area since 1976, as a civil litigator and mediator.  He has extensive trial experience with over 50 court trials and half a dozen jury verdicts.  His broad litigation experience includes personal injury defense, construction defect, insurance, real estate, landlord-tenant, partnership, commercial disputes and family law.

Upon graduation from UCLA in 1969, Ed worked for a non-profit organization in Los Angeles.  He came to the Bay Area to attend Law School at Golden Gate University, where he graduated with highest honors in 1976.  He began his legal career at the Legal Aid Society of Marin County, where he served as its executive director for five years.

He then joined a general business practice in Oakland as their principal litigator trying commercial disputes and defending personal injury cases.  He joined California Casualty rising to the position of vice president and managing attorney.  In addition to his caseload, he managed three law offices in California.

Ed became Of Counsel to Jon York and Associates in 2005 while continuing his litigation and mediation practice.  He has received Resolutions of Commendation from the Marin County Bar Association and the Marin County Board of Supervisors.  He serves as Judge Pro Tem to the Marin County Superior Court, and is a director of the Marin County Bar Association.
